Curtis’s Botanical Magazine (1787–1800)
Curtis's Botanical Magazine is the "world’s longest running, continuously published botanical periodical featuring original colour illustrations of plants. Founded in 1787 it is still relevant in the 21st century as an international forum for botanists, horticulturists, plant conservationists, ecologists and those with a special interest in botanical illustration. By highlighting our understanding of biodiversity through the papers it publishes the journal contributes to the plant sciences, providing a valuable foundation on which to engage the world with increasingly important issues such as biodiversity loss, food security and the impact of our changing climate." --publisher's description
