Leopard, Snow - IUCN Conservation Status
IUCN Red List of Threatened Species information on the Snow Leopard. As of 2017, they are classified as Vulnerable due to prey base depletion, illegal trade, conflict with local people, and lack of conservation capacity, policy and awareness. The population trend is decreasing although there are regions that are starting to see some increase. More studies need to be done to truly assess population change.
