Leopard, Persian - IUCN Conservation Status
IUCN Red List of Threatened Species information on the Persian Leopard. As of 2016, this subspecie of leopard is classified as Endangered due to prey reduction from poaching, infrastructure development, disturbance and habitat loss. The current status is found in the population section of the listing. The population trend is decreasing and reported to be severely fragmented. Some of the other subspecies are listed as Vulnerable.
